I never really went out of work. I was lucky.
Quit my job to work for a StartUp and the investor pulled out. Out of work.
By chance and recommendation I immediately got an assignment as a freelancer while searching for a new employer.
It not only was great for my self esteem it also kept me busy learning new skills and a different approach to the job market.
